At Gorefield Preschool, we have a team of 5 qualified professionals dedicated to providing the best education and care for your child. Our team includes experienced teachers and caregivers who are passionate about early childhood education. We take pride in our ability to create a warm and welcoming environment for children to learn and grow.

Christine
Christine has been with the setting for over 25 years, she loves how no 2 days are the same.

Deputy Manager
Sophie Hircock
Sophie joined the setting in 2015 as a 1:1 support, a role she found very rewarding. She went on to become a practitioner before progressing to deputy manager.
She holds a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People and is also the setting’s:

Pre-School Practioner
Amber Limpus
Amber loves spending time with the children, especially through arts and crafts, where their ideas are brought to life in creative displays. Each morning the children help choose a story and weave it into their play. Amber’s favourite part of her role is watching the children grow into confident, independent, and adventurous little people.

Hayley Cole - Currently on Maternity leave
Hayley joined as a 1.1 support in January 2023 staying on to be a practitioner, Hayley says each and every day is a learning curve and loves to get to know the children and their individual personalities.

Nina Wales
Nina joined our setting in April 2024 as a practitioner, eager to further her career in early years—something she has always been passionate about.
She brings valuable experience from working in a primary school environment and is currently training towards her Level 2 qualification.

Katie Jennings
Katie joined our team in September 2024 as a 1:1 support. She finds the role very rewarding and is currently working towards her Level 2 qualification to further her career in childcare.

Buddy
Buddy has been coming to pre-school since he was a small puppy, he will always be sat at the door ready to greet the children on arrival, he will join them for group time when listening to a story and enjoys being read to!
